ObamaCare Will Raise Cost Of Health Care And Sex

Yeah, yeah, I know, discussing health care is boring as dry white toast, like discussing taxes, like discussing school with Mom when you were thirteen. ZZZZZZZZ. But, something tells me that the CBO Director, Douglas Elmendorf, is going to be out of a job very soon if he keeps telling the truth about Democrat agenda items, such as

Instead of saving the federal government from fiscal catastrophe, the health reform measures being drafted by congressional Democrats would worsen an already bleak budget outlook, increasing deficit projections and driving the nation more deeply into debt, the director of the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office said this morning.

Under questioning by members of the Senate Budget Committee, CBO director Douglas Elmendorf said bills crafted by House leaders and the Senate health committee do not propose “the sort of fundamental changes that would be necessary to reduce the trajectory of federal health spending by a significant amount.”

“On the contrary,” Elmendorf said, “the legislation significantly expands the federal responsibility for health-care costs.”

….the reform measures put forth so far would not fulfill their pledge to “bend the cost curve” downward, Elmendorf said. Instead, he said, “The curve is being raised.”

The CBO is the official arbiter of the costs of legislation, and Elmendorf’s stark testimony is certain to undermine support for the measures even as three House panels begin debate and aim to put a bill on the House floor before the August recess.

Perhaps that is why Dear Leader tells us that hard choices are going to have to be made. Perhaps that is why he and all the supporters of their version of health care socialization mouth the platitude of “costs will go down” without explaining how. I’m still waiting for a response from Brad Miller (Democrat NC-13) and Senator Kay Hagen (D-NC) as to exactly how this will lower costs. The only way I can figure is because health care will end up being rationed. Can anyone think of anything else?

Oh, and the sex part? Well, if you think about it, there won’t be time for that, since we will all be either waiting all day waiting to see a doctor or so sick we can’t move. Happy thoughts!
