Obamacare might have looked good on paper, but after being told that they were being charged more so the University could comply with Obamacare standards, previously-coddled Harvard faculty found themselves opposing the very law they so vehemently supported.
From BizPac Review:
President Obama’s alma mater doesn’t like Obamacare much.
Harvard University’s coddled faculty is in a coddled uproar over changes to their health care plan that will require them to pay more for the university to comply with Obamacare requirements, the New York Times reported.
The faculty voted in November to reject the increases, but it was too late to change anything, The Times reported.
In a statement in Harvard’s health care enrollment guide, the university said it “must respond to the national trend of rising health care costs, including some driven by health care reform,” according to The Times.
And wouldn’t you know it, the overwhelmingly liberal Harvard faculty all the sudden realizes “health care reform” means them, too. It’s not just the great unwashed.
In an afternoon briefing Tuesday, Ed Henry asked White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest if it was “hypocritical” for the professors who said Obamacare was a “great deal for America,” to now be up in arms that they have to pay more?
Earnest stuttered through a feeble attempt to answer before jumping into White House talking points.
