Kathleen Parker — who spent weeks trashing Sarah Palin in the run-up to the election in order to try to endear herself to the liberal media and D.C. cocktail set — seems to have alienated a few of the conservatives in flyover country judging by her column rankings at Townhall,

I bet George Will, David Frum, David Brooks, Christopher Buckley, and Peggy Noonan loved her material though– and isn’t currying favor with people like that, getting appearances on the Colbert Report, and being able to make droll comments about the conservative hoi-polloi over caviar what it’s all about for people like Kathleen Parker?

PS: A comment that has probably been overheard at the Will, Brooks, Buckley, Noonan, Frum, and Parker household in the last few months, “Being a conservative columnist would be great if it wasn’t for all of those d*mn conservatives!”
