Who Will Ensure “Election Protection” From MSNBC?

Amanda Carpenter reports that MSNBC has an “Election Protection” division:

When asked for comment about ACORN’s role in the project MSNBC spokesman Jeremy Gaines wrote Townhall in an email “this a question for them, not us.”

Most of the groups MSNBC wants their viewers to contact and shape their news coverage on Election Day have extreme liberal agendas ranging that focus on variety of issues including housing, gay rights, amnesty, environmental policies and labor.

The National Council of La Raza, U.S. Pirg, NAACP, the Human Rights Campaign, the National Gay and Lesbian Law Association, Sierra Club and the Service Employees International Union are among Election Protection’s many partners.

ACORN is not listed as a partner on the Election Protection’s main website, but is listed as a partner on a promotional flyer that is available on the website.

These groups actively lobby Congress to support liberal policies. Most of them are openly supporting Barack Obama and other Democrats in the November elections.

Election Protection claims to be non-partisan. None of their listed partner groups, however, lean conservative.

I can’t help but to wonder about this. There is no question that the most problematic question surrounding this election will be voter fraud, but it’s not voting irregularities by Republicans that worry me. It’s the multiple thousands of duplicated registrants who may vote multiple times in multiple places.

And if, say, ACORN, or some other leftist organization finds “fraud” what will MSNBC do? And how are they hoping their viewers will respond? (Yes, yes, I know….all ten of them, but still.)

The presumption, of course, is that the last two elections were stolen. And they are Not Going To Take It this time. The liberals find it unfathomable that someone would vote Republican, therefore, it must be stolen. Just as if Obama isn’t elected, it must be racism. It couldn’t possibly be his liberal policies.

In this hysterical environment, MSNBC wants to be the voice of reason and the center for all the left’s discontent. Well, that makes sense. They do have Keith Olbermann’s raving rants, after all.
