Obama’s Supporters Play The Race Card On McCain’s “Celebrity” Ad

Unsurprisingly, although Barack Obama is supposed to be a man who can promote racial reconciliation, his supporters are trying to use his race to insulate him from valid criticism again.

Here is a typically silly post from Bill Press at the HuffPo about John McCain’s excellent new ad, which happily is getting lots of free airplay since the libs have made it so hot and controversial,

All we’ve seen and heard from (McCain) for the last month is a string of personal attacks, culminating in yesterday’s ad smearing Obama as “the biggest celebrity in the world.” He’s just another famous, pretty face, in other words, and not ready for the presidency.

True? No. Childish? Yes. But that’s not all. This ad is also deliberately and deceptively racist.

Of all the famous celebrities they could have compared Obama to, why not Tom Cruise? Or Arnold Schwarzenegger, or Donald Trump, or Oprah Winfrey? Why Britney Spears and Paris Hilton? Why two white blond bimbos?

Only one reason. It’s a somewhat tamer version of the white bimbo ad used so successfully against Harold Ford in Tennessee. In juxtaposing Barack Obama with Britney Spears and Paris Hilton, the McCain campaign is simply trying to plant the old racist seed of black man hitting on young white woman. Not directly, but subliminally and disgracefully.

This was the exact same shtick the libs were trying with a very effective Harold Ford ad back in 2006 and it was just as laughably stupid then as it is today. Seriously, if there aren’t people pointing at Bill Press and laughing at what a hypersensitive idiot he is for floating this, then he must not get around a lot of normal people.

Even Barack Obama obviously doesn’t believe this is an issue or he wouldn’t be taking pictures like this one with Bild reporter Judith Bonesky,

What do idiots like Bill Press believe? That Obama is “deliberately and deceptively” trying to run racist ads against himself by doing these sort of pictures? It’s hard to believe that even liberals could be hypersensitive enough to buy into a theory this farfetched.
