BREAKING: Sean Spicer Is OUT AS Trump’s Communications Director… WOAH!

Sean Spicer has officially resigned as press secretary for the White House. He held the position for almost seven months. He resigned in protest to Anthony Scaramucci coming on as communications director for the White House. Scaramucci worked with President Trump during his campaign transition and is a loyal supporter. Trump decided last night to hire Scaramucci for the position. He will leave his position at SkyBridge Capital to join the administration.

This is a big shakeup in the Trump administration. Word has it that neither Steve Bannon or Reince Priebus knew about this move as of yesterday. The communications office has struggled from the beginning to fend off attacks and instead effectively communicate the President’s message and agenda. The media has been a royal pain in the behind. Spicer played a combative role, but he had his eyes set on the position of communications director. It was not to be evidently and Sean did not want a position beneath Scaramucci.

From Breitbart:

White House press Secretary Sean Spicer has resigned, just six months after holding the job, according to White House sources.

Spicer made his decision after President Donald Trump appointed long-time loyalist Anthony Scaramucci as White House communications director.

Trump made his decision to hire Scaramucci last night, confirming his decision on Friday morning despite protests from some in the administration.

Spicer, a career political spokesperson, was deeply opposed to the idea and resigned in protest to Trump’s decision. After White House communications director Mike Dubke resigned in May, Spicer tried to position himself as the replacement. That effort failed, as Trump decided to select a Trump loyalist as a successor.

White House reporters were asked to clear the hallways of the press area while Spicer met with press staff in his office following the decision. Laughing and clapping was heard coming out of the room.

Trump has kept Sean Spicer on although he had severe misgivings about his performance. Spicer’s daily press briefings became a media favorite and he was relentlessly parodied. He resigned this morning and the media pounced. As Trump was meeting with Scaramucci at 10 am this morning, Spicer let his feelings on the appointment be known. The President requested that Spicer stay on, but he told President Trump that he believed the appointment was a major mistake. That was when he tendered his resignation.

Originally, Scaramucci was to join the administration early on. Trump had planned to appoint the 52 year-old Harvard Law graduate from Long Island as director of his office of public liaison, but the offer was pulled at the request of Reince Priebus over concerns about Scaramucci’s overseas investments. When Priebus found out about Scaramucci today, he protested once again, but was overruled by the President.

Reportedly, the appointment of Scaramucci was backed by the President’s daughter Ivanka, his son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner and Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross.
