Good News: State Department Protects Terrorist’s Privacy
Written By : William Teach

And not just any terrorist

While the New Mexico-born cleric, Anwar al-Awlaki, is the first American on the CIA’s kill or capture list, the U.S. State Department refuses to release documents about al-Awlaki citing his right to privacy. This disconnect was uncovered as part of the ongoing investigation by Fox News’ Specials Unit into the cleric who is a leader of a major Al Qaeda affiliate.

Should we really be surprised that the State Department wants to protect information about one of the most wanted and most dangerous Islamic terrorists in the world?

Make sure to read the whole article.

Maybe releasing information would harm any case they’re building or intelligence operations.

A: That the State Department under H. Clinton is building???
      Thanks I needed that laugh.

B:  There shouldn’t be a case.  This shouldn’t be a “Wanted: Dead or Alive” scenario.  The poster just needs to read “Wanted DEAD”.

Yeah but that would be my response if this happened under the Bush administration, and there’s no reason to reverse positions here.

Maybe so, but if that’s the case why didn’t they say so when asked for information?

  • JoeBrit

Maybe it was Fox News, the Republican TV station, that turned them off.

It’s nice that the most tolerant and open minded amongst us have a litmus test to see who can and cannot have access to what information.

  • JoeBrit

Deny one American his rights, and you deny us all. This is not the Bush administration we are dealing with.

Normally, I would agree with you. In this case, Joe, Al-Awlaki has unofficially renounced his American citizenship by voluntarily choosing to serve with a foreign terrorist organization operating out of a foreign nation with the intent to make war on the USA. (Section 349 of the Immigration and Nationality Act (8 U.S.C. 1481)) Especially when the Obama admin has a kill order on this scumbag. He’s a traitor, and doesn’t deserve the protections.

      • JoeBrit

There are good and bad amongst us, but we don’t get to choose who has or has not given up his citizenship as a result of his behavior or statements.

If that were true, then I think that we would likely throw all of these right wing militia out of the country for their anti-govenment stances. People unwilling to conform to our form of democratic government essentially have rejected American citizenship. Not that simple.

          First rule:

Good = in the country legally
Bad = in the country illegally

          Any Questions?

          BTW there are several rules.

Did you even attempt to look up and read U.S. Code Title 8, Chapter 12, Sub-Chapter III, Part III, sub-section 1481?
All you had to do was copy 8 U.S.C. 1481 into any search engine and it would have found links to the relevant U.S. Code.
          I went to http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscod/8/1481.html

What Al-Awlaki has done qualifies either as serving in a foreign military or as treason against the U.S. in time of war and both qualify him for an automatic loss of nationality.

We all but spoon feed you the info you need to not sound like an idiot and you fail over and over again.
