I’m willing to forgo eviscerating the State Department for the utter ridiculous of asking for solutions to a very serious problem on Twitter in exchange for bringing you the responses of Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark). While you can be sure that these aren’t what the State Dept. had in mind, Cotton has effectively spoken for every American with a modicum of common sense.
From The Blaze:
On Friday afternoon, the U.S. State Department asked Twitter users to offer their “solutions” for countering “violent extremism.”
In addition to a number of sarcastic responses, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.) offered the State Department a number of solutions to counter extremism. They probably weren’t what the department had in mind.

I’d like to thank Arkansas for blessing our Congress with the brilliance of this man. It almost makes up for the Clintons. Almost.
