Yesterday two Secret Service agents smashed a car into the barricades of the White House early in the morning after spending the evening drinking at a party. Now it has come out that the agents also disrupted a bomb investigation!

A pair of Secret Service agents, one a member of the president’s protective detail, are being investigated for crashing a car into a barricade outside the White House last week.
The March 4 incident occurred late at night, an agency report says. The officers were said to have been at a drinking party earlier that evening.
The Secret Service reported that an officer on duty that night wanted to detain the two involved in the accident. That official also wanted to administer a drug and alcohol test. Reportedly, another senior officer ruled that the two were to be let go without any sobriety tests performed.
And now, it has gotten even worse for the Secret Service. Apparently in their drunken stupor, they interrupted a bomb investigation.
Two Secret Service agents suspected of driving under the influence and striking a White House security barricade disrupted an active bomb investigation and may have driven over the suspicious package itself, according to current and former government officials familiar with the incident.
These and other new details about the March 4 incident emerged Thursday from interviews and police records obtained by The Washington Post.
The episode has prompted questions from lawmakers about whether the newly appointed leaders of the Secret Service are capable of turning around the troubled agency. Among the lawmakers’ questions: Whether a Secret Service supervisor, as witnesses have alleged, ordered officers to let the agents go home without facing sobriety testing.
The Secret Service has become a laughing stock in the age of Obama.
