It’s about freaking time. Trey Gowdy just announced that they will release the report on Benghazi within the next month. This has been going on for two years… way too long in my opinion. The report will be released before the conventions this summer. To be fair to Gowdy and the others investigating this, the Democrats have blocked them at every turn. They have not provided requested documents and evidence, and they have prevented witnesses from testifying. Gowdy is done waiting and will finish the investigation. I just hope it comes up with the obvious conclusion concerning Obama and Clinton. The blood of four dead men cry out for justice. Let’s give it to them.
From NewsMax:
The U.S. House panel investigating the 2012 Benghazi attack that killed Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens and three other Americans will release its report on the incident in the next month, the congressman leading the inquiry told MSNBC on Friday.
Representative Trey Gowdy, who is in charge of the two-year-old investigation in the House of Representatives, told MSNBC the committee’s report would be finished and released before Republican and Democratic political parties hold conventions in July to nominate candidates for the 2016 presidential elections.
“We’re going to get the report out. It’ll be in the next month,” Gowdy told MSNBC in an interview, adding that he had wanted to finish the investigation last summer but hadn’t been able to get all the documents he needed from the administration.
“I can’t stop an investigation because an executive branch agency won’t give me documents, and we’re still owed documents,” Gowdy said, adding the report would say “what we’re missing” and which agencies hadn’t reported fully.
The report should nail both Clinton and Obama for their negligence and their failure to carry out their duty. Gowdy further clarified: “And I’ll just let the reader know what it is we’re missing and the agencies that haven’t produced it to us,” Gowdy said. “And if witnesses come forward after the publication of our report, we’ll let the readers know that. I absolutely wanted it done in ‘15 but I don’t control access to documents or witnesses.” The House Select Committee on Benghazi was created in May 2014 to look into the circumstances before, during and after the Sept. 11th, 2012 attacks on US facilities in Benghazi, Libya, where four Americans were killed, including Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Gowdy said the panel’s report will include new information about the security situation, the US response to the attacks and how the Obama administration described what happened afterward. Gowdy said the report will also include interview transcripts and exhibits, and leave it to readers to reach their own conclusions. “I don’t want you to take my word for it,” he said. “I want you to read it for yourself and you control whatever conclusions you want to draw.” This is one must-read report and it is just about here.
