Epidemiologists are sure to appreciate Obama’s gifts to America, which include Ebola, enterovirus D-68, Chagas disease, and don’t forget dengue fever:

Dengue hemorrhagic fever has been added to the list of diseases brought by the surge of “unaccompanied minors” who have illegally entered the U.S. this year. …

While dengue hemorrhagic fever is typically not fatal, the [World Health Organization] documents the disease causes a severe, flu-like illness that affects infants, young children and adults, with symptoms that include severe headache, pain behind the eyes, muscle and joint pains, nausea, vomiting, swollen glands and rash.

The “unaccompanied minors” of all ages didn’t just enter the US. They were imported all the way from the jungles of Central America, then they were immediately distributed throughout the country.

Other diseases these agents of Hopey Changey fundamental transformation brought with them include drug-resistant tuberculosis and malaria.

The massive of influx of foreigners carrying serious diseases that had been essentially eradicated in America (at great expense) is a reminder why we used to enforce immigration laws. But that was back when our government meant the country well.

Like malaria, once dengue fever is established in a population it is spread largely by mosquitos. This is why DDT was so crucial in putting these diseases behind us. But DDT is politically incorrect now, so it will be harder next time around. Our rulers have made it obvious that they would rather we be sick than politically incorrect — which is funny when you consider that political correctness is itself a kind of sickness.
