Obama: Don’t Blame Islam After Ohio State Attacks [VIDEO]

The Obama administration is reacting to the terrorist attack that took place at Ohio State University on Monday. And as expected, Obama was quick to put the blame anywhere but Islam… despite the overwhelming evidence that this was, in fact, an incidence of Islamic terrorism.

In a press briefing, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest insisted that we can’t blame Islam. “Our response to this situation matters,” he said. “If we respond to this situation by casting aspersions on millions of people that adhere to a particular religion or if we increase our suspicion of people who practice a particular religion, we are more likely going to contribute to acts of violence than we are to prevent them.”

According to Earnest, we still don’t know what his motives were, but hey, Islam might have played a role. The point is clearly to cast doubt on the idea that the attacker was motivated by Islamic terrorism, but law enforcement officials have already said that the attacker was “likely inspired by ISIS.”

ISIS praised the attack on Tuesday, calling the attacker a “soldier of God.” This squares with the Facebook message the attacker posted before going on his rampage, which law enforcement officials recently released:

“By Allah, we will not let you sleep unless you give peace to the Muslims. You will not celebrate or enjoy any holiday. Btw, every single Muslim who disapproves of my actions is a sleeper cell, waiting for a signal. I am warning you Oh America.”

Ohio State police officer Alan Horujko stopped the attack. But has Obama bothered to reach out to him?

According to Josh Earnest, the answer is no, even though virtually everyone in the country is praising the heroic officer who responded so quickly to the attack. “I don’t know that they’ve had a chance to talk at this point, but if a conversation like that occurs I will let you know,” he admitted.

“We owe a deep debt of gratitude to the first responders who reacted so heroically with the situation there.”

So the Obama administration can take time to defend Islam, but they can’t take time for the man who stopped the terrorist attack. It says a lot about Obama’s priorities, doesn’t it?
