One Liners From Empty Chair Night

Jonathan Tobin at Commentary:

As I wrote last night, President Obama’s attack mode during the Boca Raton debate seemed to suggest that he was the challenger trailing in the race rather than the incumbent nursing an alleged lead. But the president’s nasty streak is also displaying itself on the campaign trail, where he has been trying out one-liners about his rival like a would-be comic at open mic night at a comedy club. Last week’s big yuck was his “Romnesia” crack that alludes to the fact that Romney has changed his positions on some issues. Today, he doubled down on that one by saying Romney had “stage 3 Romnesia” at a rally in Delray Beach, Florida.

Har, har, har. Cancer jokes are hilarious. Obama looks smaller and smaller every time he opens his mouth these days. It’s kind of like he’s being looked at through the wrong end of a telescope….

Obama looks looks and sounds increasingly nasty. A small, bitter man desperately clinging to his straw version of Romney, hoping people have short memories. But the very real Romney refuses to cooperate and keeps showing up instead of the caricature Obama has been running against.

So he’s down to making quips about cancer. One-liners from Empty Chair Night at the comedy club.

Obama has never been worthy of the office he holds. He’s showing that more and more clearly with each passing day.
