Happy National Fishing and Boating Week!

Who here loves to go fishing and boating? It’s time to gear up for National Fishing and Boating Week!

From June 6-14, 2015, anglers and boating enthusiasts  – new or seasoned, young or old – can show their support by getting out on the water. What are some benefits to fishing? It’s an excellent way to destress, connect with nature, and tout true conservation.

What is National Fishing and Boating Week? Here’s more on the initiative from Take Me Fishing, which is a project of the Recreational Boating and Fishing Foundation:

National Fishing and Boating Week, a national celebration of fishing and boating, takes place the first full week of June every year. This year it’s June 6-14, 2015. It highlights the importance of recreational boating and fishing in enhancing people’s’ quality of life and preserving our country’s natural beauty. It also is when most state’s offer their Free Fishing Days.
