Louisiana Reality TV Star Finally Sentenced for Raping Young Victims

Justice has been served in Louisiana it would seem. Will Hayden, former star of Discovery’s Sons of Guns, was just sentenced to two life sentences, plus 40 years to run consecutively, with no chance of probation, parole, or suspension of sentence. Dayum. That judge wanted that guy put away permanently. At issue was that Hayden raped an underage girl 25 years ago and then another one just recently. He was found guilty on two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape for abusing two girls.

His first victim, who is now 37, was in court for the sentencing. She smiled and said ‘thank God’ as she left the courtroom. The 15 year-old was not in attendance. Not surprised. The first victim was raped when she was 12 and 13 by Hayden. His younger victim testified she was raped repeatedly in 2013 and 2014 when she was 11 and 12. The teenage girl told the court the attacks took place in Hayden’s home and his truck. Hayden denied all of the allegations, but it took a jury less than an hour to find him guilty on all counts. The evidence must have been very compelling.

From the Daily Mail:

Former reality TV star Will Hayden has been sentenced to life in prison for raping two girls in Louisiana.

The 51-year-old was sentenced on Thursday to two life sentences, plus 40 years to run consecutively, and he will not be eligible for probation, parole, or suspension of sentence.

Hayden, who appeared on the show, Sons of Guns, was found guilty last month on two counts of aggravated rape and one count of forcible rape for abusing two girls.

The Advocate reports one of Hayden’s two victims was in court on Thursday when the sentence was handed down.

The 37-year-old woman smiled and said ‘thank God’ as she left the courtroom. The younger victim, who is now 15, did not attend the sentencing.

The older woman, who now has three children and is engaged, testified at Hayden’s trial that he raped her twice in the early 1990s when she was 12 and 13. She told the court Hayden – who was in his 20s at the time – raped her the first time in his apartment after they smoked marijuana.

Hayden is also still facing two other charges – one relating to the same 15 year-old girl who testified against him, as well as his daughter, Stephanie. She testified that in the 1990s, one night while he was drunk, her father came into her room, kissed her and tried to undress her. She got away from him and he never tried it again.

Sons of Guns of course was immediately canceled. Hayden was also removed as owner of his company, Red Jacket Firearms. Our sins have a way of catching up with us and this guy evidently never stopped. I hope his victims find peace after this. His will be a different kind of ‘peace’.
