In my travels around the country, I have had similar experiences. Color matters very little – we have a good time just as acquaintances and friends of those we meet. In many, many parts of the nation now, race just simply isn’t an issue any longer – character is. This is the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. Honestly, it is strange… I don’t notice race, in fact, I don’t tend to notice if someone is handicapped. I notice how they conduct themselves and what they have to say. Ashley Edwardson wrote this post for Allen West and gets it exactly right. Putting truth to the lie that we are all at each other’s throats because of the color of our skin… it’s just not true. It’s the politicians and the race hustlers who would have us tear each other apart for their own private agendas and gain.

How is it that President Obama, Eric Holder, Al Sharpton (and a long list of others) STILL attempt to present a different picture of America than I see every day with my own two eyes? More importantly, how is it that people who travel the same cities that I do buy into the lie? And it is a lie.
Al Sharpton, President Obama, and the Black Panthers spend every day trying to steal the truth from Americans. They are trying to steal the legacy of Martin Luther King, Michael Schwerner, a 24-year old from Brooklyn, New York, and 21-year old James Chaney from Meridian, Mississippi, Andrew Goodman, Viola Fauver Gregg Liuzzo, Rosa Parks, and the literally tens of thousands of Americans of every color who fought to change the country during the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s. They’re trying to tell you those little girls attending Sunday school in Atlanta died for nothing in that bombing. They want you to believe the Tuskeegee Airmen accomplished nothing when their actions earned three Distinguished Unit Citations, 96 Distinguished Flying Crosses, 14 Bronze Stars, 744 Air Medals and 8 Purple Hearts? They are trying to steal the achievements of every single black American who had the courage to enter a segregated college or school yard. They try to marginalize the sacrifices of Americans whose families actually split up over the question of slavery and segregation.
The question always goes back to why? I believe the answer goes back to the beginnings of Jim Crow. The Democrat Party established Jim Crow, segregation, and gave us the Ku Klux Klan. And sadly, it is a Party still focused on fear, coercion, and intimidation of free thinking blacks who seek to flee the modern day economic plantation of dependency. The party of fear is alive and well today and in the business of thought control. Don’t forget those famous words of LBJ — words we can’t even print here or on Facebook they’re so awful — which may have been the only time the truth was told by a Democrat in modern memory.
LBJ and many other democrats saw black Americans, not as individuals, but as a group of voters. Voters whom they could control and manipulate as long as they could control how they lived and what they thought. Don’t believe me? Read his comment for yourself. And as long as black Americans agree to be segregated in public housing I guess they’ll always only see the America presented to them by the liberals who want to control them. They will not see the real America, the America I see every day.
But here’s my message to Al Sharpton, Eric Holder, the Black Panther thugs, and all you other liars. I came out the other side of the 50’s and 60’s and you’re not going to steal what we accomplished. You’re not going to take us back to the days of segregation, race hatred, divided neighborhoods, and random killings. You can try, but in the end you will lose because we are braver than you are. We are willing to get down and get dirty while you are only willing to parade in front of TV cameras and spew your garbage from the podium of an air-conditioned room at some Ivy League college.You lost already…years ago.
Personally, I don’t know or associate with any racists. I have friends across the planet of all colors and religions. I have friends of different political beliefs as well. I try to take the good and leave the rest. If I don’t agree with someone, as long as it is not harmful to others, I’m willing to let them have their opinion. I’ve also been wrong before and when I find out I’m wrong, I try and correct myself. But those that lead us now would have all of us believe that all cops are evil and whites hate blacks and want to keep them down. The only ones I see doing that are Progressive/Marxist Democrats, who have a long, studied history of racism and suppression of minorities. Americans no longer believe talking heads and those that grand stand for the cameras – we believe in each other. No Marxist is going to destroy that or take it away from us as a nation.
