A Liberal at the Washington Post Says You Must Give Up Meat to Fight Global Warming!

Summer is finally here! Time to get those steaks on your backyard BBQ grill and… wait, no this global warming high priestess in the Washington Post says to put that grill away and stop eating meat altogether. Why? To saaaave the planet, naturally, because meat is bad, bad, bad for mudder earf.

Proving once again that there is nothing good, fun, or enjoyable in life that liberal scolds don’t want to take away from you, the Post’s Rachel Premack is here to wag her finger in your face over your tasty T-Bones, chops, baby back ribs and burgers.

It may be delicious, but the evidence is accumulating that meat, particularly red meat, is just a disaster for the environment — and not so great for human beings, too.

By 2050, scientists forecast that emissions from agriculture alone will account for how much carbon dioxide the world can use to avoid catastrophic global warming. It already accounts for one-third of emissions today — and half of that comes from livestock.

That’s a driving reason why members of a United Nations panel last month urged its environmental assembly to consider recommending a tax on meat producers and sellers. By raising the cost of buying meat, it would ultimately aim to reduce production and demand for it.

One more liberal comes up to me and tells me what I am allowed to eat, drink or smoke and so help me….
