A ‘Sudden’ Crisis Obama Has Know About for Years

President Obama needs $4 billion right now to fix this “unexpected” flood of illegal immigrant children into the U.S.!:

Network news anchors and reporters breathlessly describe the humanity of thousands of Central American children warehoused like so much imported commodities, wondering how this could happen.

President Obama is shocked… shocked to the point where he demands… demands… Republicans sign his immigration reform bill and give him $4 billion right now to fix this problem that “no one expected.”

Uh-huh.

Let’s take a breath and flip through the pages of recent history a bit, shall we?

Back in April of 2012, Texas Governor Rick Perry sent President Obama a letter informing him Central American families were sending children to the border where they were being dumped in numbers far greater than ever before.

The response was silence.

Some of the media has blamed the crisis on cartel drug wars, but, as Republican Senator Jeff Sessions noted, the drug wars have been going on for years. I would add that there have been bloodier years.:

So what’s changed?

President Obama and Democratic Party leadership promoted The Dream Act, which conservatives had warned could give impetus to increased illegal immigration with the false hope that all one has to do is get into the U.S. illegally and it’ll be a safe haven with jobs, free education and benefits for all.

It failed to pass.

On June 15, 2012, Obama announced that his administration would stop deporting young illegal aliens. He calls this The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, “DACA”.

This gives the world’s nastiest criminal cartels carte blanche to convince impoverished parents in Guatemala, Honduras and El Salvador that they can load their kids into buses headed for the U.S. where they will be cared for, educated and cured of their illnesses… for an exorbitant fee.

They have made millions.

In late August 2012, ten U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE): agents sued then- Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano for enforcing President Obama’s directive forcing them to break the law and ignore their duties.

In January of this year, the Obama Administration issued an RFI (Request for Information) for companies to submit proposals to transport illegal immigrant kids all over the U.S.

Wait! This “crisis” occurred in May of this year! Obama announced the surprise “crisis” on: May 30! How is it possible for the Obama Administration to shop for transportation companies to ship “65,000” children around the country in January if they didn’t know this was happening?

Because they lied.:

The I.C.E. advertisement states the contractor shall provide “on-demand escort services for non-criminal/non-delinquent: unaccompanied alien children ages infant to 17 years of age, seven (7) days a week, 365 days a year. Transport will be required for either category of UAC or individual juveniles, to include both male and female juveniles.: There will be approximately 65,000 UAC in total.”

They already knew how many children would be warehoused in the “surprise” May 2014 “crisis” in January 2014.

Breitbart News published a leaked Department of Homeland Security internal report revealing only 0.1 percent of the Central American minors illegally entering the U.S. had been deported in 2013.

This 0.1 percent is in direct contrast to President Obama’s statements to Americans that he is deporting illegal immigrants.

Now, President Obama demands $4 million for a problem he obviously has no interest in fixing.

If anything, the President’s immigration policy will allow parents of the hundreds of thousands of children being dumped at the border to come into the country themselves with no knowledge of the English language, no organized screening for diseases and no prospects for employment.

A real solution would be Ellis Island-style immigration sites and a program of education in English and American history combined with business-subsidized housing and job training.

That’s not in Obama’s agenda.

Now, Obama smirks into a microphone on July 10th, “Ronald Reagan passed immigration reform and you love Ronald Reagan, so let’s go ahead and do it!”

This childishly simplistic mocking of a President so much more successful than himself is yet another reason Congress and the American people don’t trust this President.

Nor should we.
