If, and it’s a big IF, Mitt has actually locked down North Carolina, Virginia, and Florida locked down, then it’s entirely possible that this whole race could come down to who takes Ohio. Of course, if Romney took Pennsylvania or Michigan, he could even conceivably survive that.

The good news is that although this race is still extremely close, Mitt is surging with just 27 days left until election day. There are no guarantees, which is why we have elections, but Mike Ditka would say, “Mitt’s in position to get in position.”
