Mitt Romney Lost, But How Did The Other Key Races Turn Out Last Night?

Understandably, most people were focused on the Obama vs. Romney contest, but there were a lot of other important races last night. Overall, the GOP gained governorships, should roughly have a wash in the House, and lost Senate seats. Here’s a breakdown on how some of the most important races turned out.

House Races

Mia Love (R-UT) lost to Jim Matheson (D-UT)
Allen West (R-FL) lost to Patrick Murphy (D-FL)
Michele Bachmann (R-MN) defeated Jim Graves (D-MN)
Pete Stark (D-CA) lost to Eric Swalwell (D-CA)
Samuel Wurzelbacher (R-OH) lost to Marcy Kaptur (D-OH)
Steve King (R-IA) defeated Christie Vilsack (D-IA)
Jesse Jackson Jr. (D-Il) defeated Marcus Lewis and Brian Woodwoorth
