Tagg Romney: “You want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at (Obama)”

Liberals are whining because President Lying Liar said Mitt Romney wasn’t telling the truth and his son Tagg: took exception to it.

Bill Lumaye:: I’m gonna ask something I know a lot of people want to know, or at least I do. What it is like for you to hear the President of the United States call your dad a liar. How do you react to that?

Tagg Romney:: You want to jump out of your seat, and you want to rush down to the debate stage and take a swing at him. But you know you can’t do that, because – well, first, because there’s a lot of Secret Service between you and him – but also because this is just the nature of the process. They’re going to try to do everything they can do to make my dad into something he’s not.

A son offended because his father was called a liar? Who has ever heard of such a thing! Why, I’m sure Sasha and Malia NEVER think the same thing when people make fun of their father. Of course, in their defense, they’ve grown up hearing their dad lie so much that maybe they’re used to it. They probably just blame it on the teleprompter by now.

Then, there’s Tagg’s violent, inflammatory rhetoric. Well, I certainly have to condemn that, right? Ehr…maybe not.

In my defense, perhaps I was just influenced by the rhetoric coming from: our President over the last four years.

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun, because from what I understand folks in Philly like a good brawl. I’ve seen Eagles fans.”

“Argue with neighbors, get in their face.”

Granted, it’s almost funny hearing Barack Obama saying things like that since he’s about as imposing as Barney Frank, while you could imagine Tagg Romney actually punching someone in the mouth, but you can’t really blame any of Romney’s sons for feeling that way. They’re up against a sociopath who’s trying to win an election by smearing their father’s reputation. It’s easy to see why Tagg might take that personally.
