Family Hires THIS Nanny For $64K A Year and 28 Vacation Days!

Finding a live-in nanny isn’t typically hard for most families, especially if they’re willing to pay big bucks. Yet one family has not been able to keep someone for the position, so they’re offering a whopping $64,000 a year, 28 vacation days and a room with a private bathroom and kitchen. The catch? The house the family lives in is reportedly haunted.

The family, who lives in Scotland, posted an ad on and at first, it seems normal. The nanny would be responsible for two children, aged five and seven, and the family lives in a “lovely, spacious, historic property in a remote spot with spectacular views.” The nanny would be responsible for “preparing breakfast, getting the children ready for school, dropping off and picking up from school and assisting after school, including helping with homework and getting them ready for bed,” and as the parents frequently travel, the nanny would be with the children alone for four nights a week.

The problem is the family’s haunted house.

“We were told it was ‘haunted’ when we bought it, but kept our minds open and decided to buy the house regardless,” the ad explains. “Five nannies have left the role in the last year, each citing supernatural incidents as the reason, including strange noises, broken glass and furniture moving.”

Even worse, the parents themselves haven’t experienced the supernatural activity — only the nannies. “This has obviously been a period of great upheaval for our children. We haven’t personally experienced any supernatural happenings, as they have been reported only while we’ve been out of the house, but we’re happy to pay above the asking rate, and feel it’s important to be as up-front as possible to find the right person,” the ad says. CEO Richard Conway has assured people that the ad is genuine. “When we saw the advert we were stunned,” Conway said. “Some of the guys at HQ were skeptical but after talking to the family and their previous employees we realized it was a genuine position.”

“The family has assured us that no harm has come to anyone living in the house, however the nanny will have to have a strong disposition,” he continued. So far, living with ghosts doesn’t seem to be too off-putting — the ad has received over 2,000 responses.
