Most people know the common saying that only two things are certain in life; death and taxes, however this may not always be the case when it comes to property tax.  It turns out that the U.S. government is willing to pay volunteers to live in a well-known ghost town.

The location is that of Garnet, Montana. To outsiders it may not seem to be home to the many reported ghostly shadows, but many familiar with the town and its history will tell you much differently.

A fire broke out in 1912, and destroyed half the town; its people and its buildings. The town was most known for its saloons, at its peak the saloons were on of the hottest spots in Garnet

After the fire destroyed nearly everything in its path, the town’s ruins were never rebuilt.
