VIDEO: Daredevil Takes a Selfie Hanging From One Hand Above a Railway… Then Falls to the Ground

With the rise of social media, there is seemingly nothing that people won’t do just to get a few likes, or to get a picture to go viral. One Russian teenager might have figured out that risking his life isn’t worth it, though, after his little daredevil stunt went very badly.

A daredevil teenager risked his life when he took a selfie while hanging from one hand above a railway line – before slipping and tumbling to the ground.
The incredible incident took place in the city of Kaliningrad in Russia’s north-western Kaliningrad Oblast region.
A heart-stopping video showed the youth’s friends laughing as he plummeted, managed to break the long fall by grabbing hold of some electric cables, and then fell the rest of the way down.
The man hangs down from one arm to take his phone out of his pocket and take a selfie, afterwards he puts his phone back and holds the bar again with two arms.
However he loses his grip and falls down. Luckily the long fall is stopped by electricity cables, which the youth grabs at, burning his hands.
He then lands on the ground with a crash and the person filming approaches him laughing at him whilst he groans loudly.
The daredevil selfie taker then gets up and starts walking. He is visibly in pain and limps on one leg. He later shows his visibly burnt hands to the camera.
It is reported that the incident took place on the part of the railroad between the cities of Kaliningrad and Baltiysk in western Russia’s Kaliningrad Oblast region.
Really, is a selfie worth dying over? How did we become this vapid and idiotic?
