BREAKING: Largest Foodstamp Fraud Ring BUST In U.S. History – Just Went Down!

The left loves to pretend that food stamps are helping people. In reality, they are creating government dependency. One in five are on food stamps in America and it doesn’t take a study to show the rampant abuse of the system. From the derelicts buying cases of Mountain Dew in the grocery line with food stamps, to outright conspiracies to defraud American taxpayers, the food stamp program is rife with abuse. In one of the few instances where the federal government is willing to explore this fraud, the biggest food stamp fraud bust ever just concluded in Miami and 22 people may be going to jail for their part in it.

If you don’t think welfare fraud is a massive problem here in America this will definitely change your mind.

From Fox News Insider:

The largest food stamp fraud take-down in United States history just took place in Miami, Florida, leading to the arrests of 22 people, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.

During a news conference, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said the defendants stole more than $13 million from the U.S. Department of Agriculture by fraudulently trading food stamps for cash.

In a joint investigation, federal and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office investigators allegedly found that hundreds of stolen identities were used to obtain food stamps, which were then converted by produce vendors to cash.

According to U.S. Attorney Wilfredo A. Ferrer, businesses were charging the U.S. government for the food stamps, but instead of giving people food like they were supposed to, they were giving them cash and keeping government money for themselves.

“When individuals defraud governmental programs, they steal taxpayer funded benefits that are intended to feed the families and children in our communities who are most in need,” Ferrer said.

He said at least seven more suspects are still being sought in the “unprecedented” scam, in addition to the 22 in custody.

If each individual arrested is convicted, they could see sentences of up to 20 years in prison for conspiracy to commit wire fraud, 20 years for wire fraud, and five more for food stamp fraud.

In other words, they could be going up river for a very, very long time.

In all honesty, they deserve every bit of it, as they are effectively stealing from tax payers who work hard for the income they need to provide for their families.

This issue wouldn’t exist in a culture that encourages personal responsibility and a person taking care of themselves on their own without the help of government.

We obviously need a cultural change away from entitlement thinking and a return to the pride of providing for oneself, which is what made this nation great.

Here’s a simple system: everybody feed themselves with the money they earn or the food they catch or harvest. I know, I know, it sounds crazy. But then again, this is the very same system that mankind has used for millennia and somehow, we survived as a species.

Yes, there was a world before the welfare state. We should go back to it.
