California parents are arrested after trying to SELL their two sons in exchange for drugs

I’ve written about peak Capitalism before, but this may take the cake. A couple in California have been arrested on charges of child endangerment after authorities were alerted that the couple tried to sell their two sons for money and drugs.

What kind of person does this? What kind of inhumane, soulless, abjectly pathetic human being would do something like this? Selling your children for drug money sounds like the worst kind of imaginable fate in this life. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Lancaster Station responded to a tip about the possibility of child abuse in the home. They contacted the two suspects and found out that the two had been trying to sell their children for drug money.

The two suspects, Vincent Calogero, 38, and Sarah Nilson, 32, were arrested soon thereafter and were brought into custody of the LA County deputies. The suspects were taken to Lancaster Station where they were charged with a felony of child endangerment, child neglect and being under the influence of a controlled substance. Yeah, their picture definitely shows they are on some kind of drug.

The bail was set at $100,000 and their sons were taken into custody of the Department of Children and Family Services. That’s a great thing, I hope these parents never get their children back. The sheriff’s office released a statement in which they said they “would like to commend the residents of Lancaster who intervened in response to the danger the children were in.” They are asking if anyone has any more information about the case.

This is what happens when the bonds of family are degraded by society. This is what happens when human life is not considered sacred. I believe it was John Adams who said, “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people”. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” Too bad the people of California have given up on morality and religion a long time ago. They are quickly descending into the pit of insanity and are becoming an amoral wasteland. This could have happened anywhere and I’m sure it does, but it happening in California is telling.

When we have people trying to sell their children in order to score more drugs, we have lost as a society. What kind of punishment do we mete out for this kind of thing? Do they need mental counseling, or a lifetime in prison, or a very long stint in rehab? I’m just glad I am not in charge of that.
