DEVELOPING: 18 Shot, 6 Dead… IT’S HAPPENING

This past weekend was a very bloody weekend in Chicago. 18 shot, with 6 dead so far. I agree with Obama, the violence has to stop! I DISAGREE with the methods he wants to impose as the remedy. Chicago has proven time and time again that gun control is NOT the answer. Exhibit A:

At least 18 people have been shot so far this weekend and six of those victims are dead.

Two security guards were called to a large outdoor party at a housing complex in the 1300 block of West Hastings. Someone started shooting and a 24-year-old man was shot in the back and killed. The two security guards were wounded.

Officers received a call of shots fired in the 4800 block of West Monroe in Austin just before 5:30 a.m. Saturday and found a 23-year-old man lying face down, police said. He was shot several times and was dead at the scene.
One man, 29, was shot in both thighs, his hand a forearm. The other man, 30, was shot in the hand. Both were taken to Stroger Hospital where their conditions stabilized, police said.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office did not confirm the two most recent deaths Saturday morning.

Two men, both 19, were in a vehicle in the first block of South Springfield in West Garfield Park about 1:30 a.m. when they were shot, police said.

One man was shot in the abdomen and was dead at the scene, police said. The other was shot in right leg and listed in good condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Late Friday, a man was fatally shot in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.

You won’t hear any disparaging words about the NRA. Nobody will lament how easy it is to legally purchase a firearm. It won’t even get a passing glance from the media. The lives of those murdered will not be remembered in widely-broadcasted memorials. Perhaps even more disgusting than that is the reason why: Progressives have done all they can to turn Chicago into a Democrat-controlled leftist utopia, and it has failed.

When it comes to Chicago and the gun violence there, the media is silent, Obama and his celebrities are silent – and EVEN Black Lives Matter is silent. Why? Because Chicago has all the gun control that they are asking for the nation to have. It does not fit their agenda. They can’t blame republicans, Christians or policemen trying to do their job.

It’s disgusting to think that they have a CLEAR example of what gun control looks like and it’s obvious that it’s the nightmare they are claiming to be fighting against – yet…they are unwilling to accept the truth. Their pride is killing Americans.
