This is getting to be downright commonplace. A woman was riding the subway in Manhattan last Monday and fell asleep. The 26 year-old awoke to a man rubbing her inner thigh and reaching under her skirt. She quickly took a pic of him and he fled. The suspect is 32 to 42 years-old and approximately 6 ft. tall. He has brown eyes, black hair, dark complexion and was last seen wearing brown shoes, blue jeans and a blue jacket.
From PIX11:
Police are looking for a man accused of inappropriately touching a female straphanger as she slept on a northbound No. 3 train.
The incident happened last Monday at 6:30 a.m.
Police said the 26-year-old victim was asleep when she felt a man rubbing her inner thigh. She took a picture of him when the train entered Seventh Avenue W. 34th Street subway station, where he then fled in an unknown direction.
This is a prime example of why you never, ever sleep on a subway or a bus. You leave yourself vulnerable to this type of depraved behavior or worse. It’s an even better reason not to live in a big city. Live somewhere where you can be armed and protect yourself. That would not be Manhattan. She’s lucky that something much more dire didn’t happen to her. If you see this creep, you can submit tips to police by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), visiting www.nypdcrimestoppers.com, or texting 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
