High School Girl Murdered In Bathroom As Other Students Watch And Record Video, Make No Attempt To Help Or Call 911

There is zero justification for leaving violent kids of any age in schools with other kids they can and do, harm or kill. By all means, let’s give them the help they need, the juvenile detention they’ve earned or the reform school they’ve necessitated. But let’s NOT pretend they are ready to be put in with their victims. They aren’t. And we owe it to our children to protect them from violence to the extent that we can. These violent kids may have been done terribly wrong by their own families and cultures, but that does not give them the right to access, on a daily basis, a large pool of sitting ducks in their schools. Would we throw a pedophile into a preschool as a staff member? Would we let an embezzler be in charge of the company money? Would we allow a problem gambler to work at the race track, or a known alcoholic to serve liquor? We would not.

From the Daily Mail:

This is the horrific moment high school teen Amy Inita Joyner-Francis was allegedly attacked and killed by a group of bullies in the school bathrooms.

The picture, taken from cellphone footage, shows the 16-year-old being forced to her knees by a girl who has grabbed hold of her hair.

Wilmington police are investigating and that the assault may have been filmed by one or more of Joyner-Francis’ attackers.

The fight broke out around 8.15am on Thursday before classes at Howard High School of Technology, a vocational school in Wilmington, Delaware.

Students who witnessed the deadly scuffle said that Joyner and another girl started fighting in one of the women’s bathrooms over a boy, when a gang of other girls jumped the victim.

At one point, someone slammed her head against a sink, according to witnesses who spoke with 6ABC.

Joyner-Francis was flown to A.I. DuPont Children’s Hospital in critical condition, where she was later pronounced dead. The cause of death has not been confirmed

Authorities have questioned three girls over the deadly brawl – all of whom have now been suspended from school.

‘Now they know they’re in very serious trouble and could spend a substantial amount of time in prison,’ Mayor Dennis Williams told CBS News.

There is no place for students who would rather record the killing and post it online than try to save the life of the victim. Who does that? That is simply unacceptable behavior. They need to be taken out of the school, those are disturbing tendencies, almost as bad as the murderous tendencies displayed by the suspects. We cannot allow students with violent tendencies to comingle with their potential victims. We must remove them from the regular school environment until they have either shown a significant change or proven that they refuse to change and therefore must be kept out for good. It is reckless endangerment to keep them where they are, do nothing of any significance and pretend it will all be okay. How many more kids need to die, get beaten bloody, or simply be afraid to use the bathroom all day?
