A chilling note, reading “I’ve Been Watching you,” was left at the scene of the murder of a former NFL linebacker and his wife, apparently written by the couple’s own son who police charged with the murders.

Former Miami Dolphins player Antonio Armstrong and his wife Dawn were both shot in their home on July 29. Dawn died at the scene while Antonio was found barely alive after being shot in the head. He was rushed to the hospital and soon died there.
But most shocking of all, the couple’s son has been charged with the foul deed.

Friends and family are flummoxed by the shooting and don’t understand why the boy would have done it.
“There was nothing left out. There was no neglect or anything, nothing that could even possibly justify the situation. This makes no sense,” Vaun Lee, Dawn’s cousin, said.
The couple’s 16-year-old son is charged with capital murder. His name isn’t available due to his young age. At this time, a motive is unknown. Nothing in the home was out of place and there were no signs of a scuffle. According to investigators, Antonio and Dawn were found shot in their bedroom.
A source close to the investigation told Eyewitness News that the 16-year-old called 911. The source also says a note was found by the gun, which read: “I’ve been watching you.”
Investigators also say police have never been called to the home.
The murdered couple also had a daughter, but she wasn’t home at the time of the shooting and was later discovered unharmed.
