What kind of thug tries to hurt and rob an elderly man? The kind pictured above. This kind of crime is happening all too often. Hopefully someone recognizes him and tells the authorities. Scroll down for unbelievable video.

Authorities are searching for a man who was caught on video pushing an elderly man down a flight of stairs, kicking him and trying to rob him in New York.

The suspect had attempted to steal personal belongings from the 74-year-old man in the stairwell of a Bronx apartment building on Thursday afternoon, police said.

In the video, the suspect is seen walking up a flight of stairs in front of the victim before turning around and shoving the elderly man.

The elderly man suffered minor injuries and was treated and released from Saint Barnabus Hospital, according to Pix11.

Anyone with information in connection with this incident is asked to call the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).

Thankfully, the victim was not injured too badly. If you see something, say something. This elderly man deserves justice. And his attacker deserves jail.
