A not so innocent grade school teacher on vacation at a popular Mexican destination twerked her way out of a job.
The teacher, known only as Miss Clarissa, took part in a dance contest at a Cabo San Lucas, Mexico resort and it was caught on video.
The sexy scholar won the grand prize of $260 but lost her job after parents of students at her school raised a fuss when the video found its way on to the Internet.
The woman told local media that her former employer, Instituto Cumbre Del Noroeste, needs to get with the times.
“I knew there were mobile phones but I never imagined this would go viral and anyway, I’m not doing anything bad,” she told the Mexican newspaper Reforma.
“It was a dance competition, something like this doesn’t define me as a person, it was my free time and we’re in the 21st century.
“I was branded immoral and it hurt that people crossed that line because didn’t have anything to do with my job and the children that appeared in those photos should have been kept out of it” she said.
“They didn’t give me any other option at my school than to resign. I felt I was being attacked and put under pressure. I didn’t know what else to do apart from leave as quickly as I could.”
The school claims angry parents demanded her resignation but an online petition asking for her reinstatement, said to be written by parents of the school children, told another tale.
“Parents of children at Cumbres Institute deny demanding her resignation. We are angry at the way she was sacked, using a sexist pretext when she was doing what everyone does on holiday which is dance in a bikini,” it read. “The children she taught adored Miss Clarissa and were very sad when they found out she wouldn’t be taking class anymore.”
Is there a code of conduct that goes hand in hand with employment at this school? If not, I don’t believe it should matter. But all in all, she worked for them. They can fire and hire anyone they choose. Deal with it.
