VIDEO: The Dramatic Moment Store Clerk Wrestles Armed Robber Out of Front Door Despite Being Shot in the Chest

One convenience store owner has one hell of an employee in Patrick Reilly. The clerk was confronted with an armed robber, and despite being shot in the chest, continued to fight the robber off until they ran away.

Patrick Reilly, 25, was hit when he tried to wrestle a gun from the hands of man who was attempting to rob the Gotta Habit Smoke Shop in San Marcos, Austin.

But despite his life-threatening injury, Mr Reilly managed to force the gunman out the front of the store before collapsing in the doorway. The robber then ran away from the scene.

Steven Carlos Hernandez, 20, is in custody, having been charged with aggravated robbery in connection with the incident yesterday evening, KXAN reports.

That is one extremely brave and heroic man right there, and hopefully, doctors will be able to treat his injuries. And the robber, Hernandez, should be happy to know that he just threw his entire life away for absolutely nothing. Congratulations!
