Amazon Pulls Pedophile Book, HuffPo Libs Lament

Amazon has finally pulled down from Kindle The Pedophile’s Guide to Love & Pleasure: A Child-Lover’s Code of Conduct by a pervert named Phillip R. Greaves, 2nd. The author’s product description, via Geekologie:

This is my attempt to make pedophile situations safer for those juveniles that find themselves involved in them, by establishing certian [sic] rules for these adults to follow. I hope to achieve this by appealing to the better nature of pedosexuals, with hope that their doing so will result in less hatred and perhaps liter [sic] sentences should they ever be caught.

It appears to be a how-to manual for raping children nicely. Amazon’s reaction when customers began to scream in outrage was typical liberal sanctimony:

Amazon believes it is censorship not to sell certain books simply because we or others believe their message is objectionable. Amazon does not support or promote hatred or criminal acts, however, we do support the right of every individual to make their own purchasing decisions.

So long as no one says anything politically incorrect, there is no right and wrong. You may find it objectionable, but in the name of tolerance quack quack quack…

However, Amazon’s principles quickly went out the window when it became clear this would become a public relations nightmare. The book was pulled to the relief of decent Americans — and to the outrage of creepazoids infesting the largest liberal blog, The Huffington Post. Sample comments, gathered by Air2air:

babybecks: Thought police coming through…

trojoe: Dont like it? Don’t buy it. Pretty simple.

indred : If they pull this book, it could become a habit where amazon will no longer be neutral and have to pull books that people don’t like or agree with.

The Skeptical One: Pedophilia is defined as a sexual *attraction* to children, NOT as the practice of having sex with children. This is an important difference, because you cannot control who you are attracted to. Pedophiles are not sick monsters who go around raping children left and right, they are human beings who have, unfortunately, been afflicted with a desire for children. I would go out on a limb and say that the vast majority of pedophiles never act on, or even express, their sexual attraction. It is unfortunate that this is so, because it is possible that through counseling their lives could be made easier. Keep in mind, however, that the urge to have sex with children is not evil, the actual ACT is. There exists no such thing as an evil thought.

babybecks: There are also now calls to ban 100 other items including The Color Purple and Lolita.

asiclilpup: Such hoopla over a bagger’s autobiography.

facepalm12: Let me know if you want to go find and burn some witches later (And by witches I mean anyone who has read material that I find offensive).

babybecks: Hysteria at its finest…

gulopartisan: You can’t advocate killing the President or encourage the overthrow of the government unless you are a RW loon like Glenn Beck, Sharon Angle, Sarah Palin, Michelle Bachman… or a sociopathic thug like Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Michael Savage….

facepalm12: Why censor this book?

babybecks: …is reading it going to turn you into a pedophile? No. Is reading it going to make you a better pedophile? I doubt it. Is censoring it going to make kids safer from pedophiles? even more doubtful.

asiclilpup: This is just the morality police yelling and screaming about something they don’t like. Leave the book alone. 99% of the population isn’t going to read it, and among those who do, the vast majority will never actually molest a child, and those who do were going to do so before the book.

babybecks: You don’t have to spend your money there if you don’t want to. Ain’t America great like that?

MJVs Common Sense: Get off the moral high horse, and stop pretending you are any higher and mightier than the rest of the world.

Even at HuffPo, voices of sanity can be heard among the squeaks of the moonbats:

AmigaMan: I can’t believe HuffPost is screening this page. You people are starting to really make me ill. What’s the matter? Someone might say something you don’t agree with against child molesters? :-/

scud420: The first time ever thinking this, but I really feel disgusted to call myself a progressive. If being a progressive means defending the right to help someone get away with one of the worst crimes imaginable, call me a new independent because I think this should be an exception to the first amendment rule.

Apparently not all progressives have the belly to “progress” to the next stage of “tolerance.” I’ve said before that mainstreaming pedophilia will be the next jihad in the culture war after liberals have normalized homosexuality to their satisfaction. You don’t have to wait and see; it’s already beginning to happen.
