In Marionville, Missouri a robber got way more than he bargained for… he picked the wrong clerk to rob and got a brutal taste of reality. 54 year-old Jon Lewis Alexander was working behind the counter at a liquor store when a guy walked in smoking a cigarette. Alexander told him he would have to take it outside and that is when the thug pulled a gun and demanded money. Alexander, who is an Iraq war veteran and served four tours of duty, was also packing heat. He pulled his gun and put it to the guy’s mouth. He then told him to get the you-know-what out of there before he blew his head off. The moron obliged. That took stones and thank goodness for the Second Amendment.
Over the weekend 54-year-old Jon Lewis Alexander was working at Beer:30 Liquor Store in Marionville, Missouri when a man entered the store, pulled a gun on him and demanded money. Alexander, an Iraq veteran who has served four tours of duty, quickly turned the tables on the would-be robber. Alexander pulled out his own firearm, pointed it at the thief and told him to get out of here before he blows his head off. The entire incident was captured on the store’s security camera.
The store’s owners are pleased that they got a security guard and a clerk all rolled into one. I’m sure they were very happy he was armed that day. Alexander didn’t shoot the guy… he gave him the option of getting out which was the smart thing to do. You don’t kill unless you have no choice, but if you pull a gun, you have to be ready and willing to do so if it is necessary. I think this guy is fantastic, but I also think it is sad that a military hero like this has to work as a clerk in a liquor store to make ends meet. Once a warrior, always a warrior and he’s definitely got guts and the will to do the right thing. This guy’s a hero in my book.
