Candace Cameron Takes EPIC Stand AGAINST Porn, On ‘The View’ – Then Whoopi Responds…

Candace Cameron Bure took a strong, principled stand against porn on The View. Good for her. Others may be shocked at how her co-hosts responded, but I’m not. I expected it. Whoopi Goldberg opened her segment with a Utah State Senator’s warning that X-rated materials are so dangerous he wants porn ruled as a public health crisis: Republican Senator, Todd Weiler introduced a resolution that “recognizes the need for education, prevention, research, and policy change at the community and societal level in order to address the pornography epidemic that is harming the citizens of Utah and the nation.” Of course the other hosts thought it was funny and a joke. I can assure you there is nothing funny about pornography. It destroys families, children and lives.

When Candace Cameron Bure took a stand against porn on national television, I was shocked to see how her fellow co-stars on the view reacted. Wow.

When ABC’s controversial talkshow, The View, added ‘porn’ to Monday’s list of topics to cover, no one was sure what to expect.

But as a conservative Christian myself, a few minutes into the segment, I was shocked to hear how Candace Cameron Bure’s fellow co-hosts responded.

Any porn, male or female, is vile and sick. Sorry… that’s just a fact. According to a ChristiaNet Survey: 50% of Christian men and 20% of Christian women are addicted to pornography. Additionally, the most disturbing part about pornography addiction is that it can lead to child pornography. Between 2005 and 2009, there was a 432 percent increase in child pornography. “Pornography addicts have a more difficult time recovering from their addiction than cocaine addicts, since … pornography images stay in the brain forever.” Dr. Layden (co-director of the Sexual Trauma and Psychopathology Program at University of Pennsylvania) It is an addiction… one that you can’t get rid of or out of your mind. It is a clear and present danger to children especially. Good for that Senator. I couldn’t agree more.
