e-Race Card: Jesse Jackson Attacks Twitter for Having Only 49 Black Employees

Jesse Jackson is really mad that Internet social media giant Twitter only has 49 black employees out of its nearly 3,000 employees.
In fact, few of America’s tech industry are black. And Jackson is not amused.
Out of Twitter’s 2,910 U.S. employees, only 49 (1.7 percent) are black, and that fact has black activists led by Rev. Jesse Jackson racing to condemn the company.
Jackson, who has been pressuring tech companies for years to hire more blacks, told The Guardian black Americans are “becoming intolerant” of Twitter’s slow growth in diversity.
Twitter’s tiny black workforce comes despite a vocal pledge by the company to boost its diversity quotient. A year ago, the company announced a plan to build “a Twitter we can be proud of” by increasing the number of women and non-Asian minorities hired at the company.
Numbers for other minorities are similarly low. There are only 68 Hispanic workers and a puny three American Indians.
And where is the irony alert in the fact that all these tech companies are run by good little liberals who otherwise believe everything Jesse Jackson says??
So, does it matter? Do we need 100% balanced racial parity to be “fair” in America?
