Home of Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle Raided in Child Porn Investigation

Federal and state agents raided the Indiana home of Subway sandwich chain spokesman Jared Fogle in a growing investigation into child pornography sparked when the executive director of Fogle’s children’s obesity foundation was arrested for child porn earlier this year.

Firstly, let’s get out at the beginning that authorities have not arrested Fogle at this time.

Now, you’ll remember that Jared, once incredibly overweight, is the fellow you’ve seen on TV claiming that Subway sandwiches helped him loose weight and he became a spokesman for years in commercials for the national restaurant chain.

With his Subway riches, Jared started a foundation focused on helping kids lose weight. But in April the executive director of that foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested on charges of possessing child porn.

Now that investigation has been enlarged to include Jared’s own home.

Federal and state agents raided the Zionsville home of Subway spokesperson Jared Fogle around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday as part of a child porn investigation.

Eyewitness News Crime Beat Reporter Steve Jefferson was the only reporter on the scene when the raid began Tuesday morning at the home, located in the 4500 block of Woods Edge Drive.

The raid follows the April arrest of the Jared Foundation’s former executive director, Russell Taylor, for child pornography.

The Indiana Internet Crimes Against Children task force is the lead agency on the investigation.

They are removing electronics from the home and they are being analyzed inside a mobile forensics van in the home’s driveway.

The investigation continues and Fogle has not been arrested. So maybe they are just looking for information on Taylor? Whatever, it is not a good day for Jared.

**UPDATE**

At 4PM central time the Subway chain suspended its relationship with Jared Fogle…
