John Cusack Bashes Obama Again and States: He’s ‘Worse than Bush’

Well, Cusack gets one point right… Obama is far worse than Bush. But as usual, despite the love-fest at Leftie Mediaite, Cusack misses the mark and shows he doesn’t fully get it. At least Cusack has the courage of his convictions and stones enough to voice them. Where he gets it wrong is on how many wars Obama has started. You see, Obama has started many more conflicts than Bush… he just hasn’t labeled them as ‘wars’ and he’s skirted Congressional approval doing so. He’s also on the wrong side of our military conflicts and is an enemy within. Cusack is right on Obama and the NSA, civil liberties, etc. Obama is drone happy and is tyrannical. He far outclasses Bush though even on his worst day.

From Mediaite:

Actor John Cusack has long been an outspoken critic of President Barack Obama‘s administration. Whether indirectly via his criticism of domestic surveillance programs, or directly in an online essay he penned in February 2013, Cusack’s distaste for Obama ranges far and wide.

Knowing this, The Daily Beast decided to ask the Love & Mercy actor about the recent news that former President George W. Bush‘s approval rating had risen high enough to surpass Obama’s.

Seeing as how, as TDB phrases it, Cusack is known for not “[having] a filter,” the actor obliged:

His domestic policy is a bit different, but when you talk about drones, the American Empire, the NSA, civil liberties, attacks on journalism and whistleblowers, he’s as bad or worse than Bush.

In line with what he’s said before, Cusack primarily takes issue with Obama’s domestic policies regarding his administration’s preservation of surveillance programs and its penchant for not dealing with journalists — unless, of course, the White House considers them akin to terrorists.

But I digress, for Cusack has more to say:

He hasn’t started as many wars, but he’s extended the ones we had, and I don’t even think Dick Cheney or Richard Nixon would say the president has the right to unilaterally decide whom he can kill around the world. On Tuesdays, the president can just decide whom he wants to kill, and you know, since 9/11 there are magic words like “terror,” and if you use magic words, you can justify any power grab you want.

Yeah, Obama’s infamous ‘kill list.’ And he has never ever said he would not use such a list on American soil by the way. He does use terror as an excuse – but terror manufactured as right-wing extremism. Never as Islamic terrorism. That would upset his buds the Muslim Brotherhood, who are busily trying to conquer America from within with Obama’s help. As far as free speech goes, or the Constitution in general for that matter, Obama will go down in history as the biggest violator of our Constitutional rights to ever hold office. He’s a Marxist and an Islamist pure and simple. I join with John Cusack in his criticism of Barack Obama – just don’t bring Bush into it as there is really no comparison.
