Octomom Stoops To Porn. I Blame Murphy Brown.

“…if a single mother raising her children in the ghetto has to worry about drive-by shootings, drug-deals, or whether her children will join gangs and die violently, her already difficult task becomes impossible. It doesn:´t help matters when prime time TV has Murphy Brown – a character who supposedly epitomizes today:´s intelligent, highly paid, professional woman – mocking the importance of fathers – by bearing a child alone, and calling it just another :´Lifestyle Choice:´” — Dan Quayle

Avoiding long-term poverty is not rocket science. First, graduate from high school. Second, get married before you have children, and stay married. Third, work at any kind of job, even one that starts out paying the minimum wage. And, finally, avoid engaging in criminal behavior. — Walter Williams

It’s really easy to make fun of Nadya Suleman.

She’s wacky, she’s fame hungry, and of course most importantly, she has 14 kids with no baby daddy around to help take care of them. She has posed topless, sold her bras on eBay, gone on welfare and now, this 36 year old mother of 14 is moving on to porn to try to pay the bills.

Nadya Suleman had sworn she would never stoop to doing porn in order to support her 14 children.

But Octomom, who is severely financially troubled, started filming her x-rated ‘self-pleasure video’ in order to get a big pay day.

The 36-year-old turned up to a San Fernando Valley mansion on the outskirts of Los Angeles start taping that will see her cavorting in front of the camera by herself in sordid scenes.

…The 36-year-old filed for bankruptcy last week after falling into $1million worth of debt.

It is unknown how much money Octomom will receive for her porn appearance, however a source tells the site: ‘It’s a lot more than the $10,000 she made for posing topless.’

The mother-of-14 will continue to shoot scenes and the movie will be released later this summer.

Dan Quayle being savaged for going after Murphy Brown is probably the closest thing you’ll find to a tipping point from the time when America moved from discouraging single motherhood to tacitly encouraging it.

A two parent family with a mom and a dad is the ideal way to raise children and nothing else even comes close. Take one of those parents out of the home and that child’s statistical chance of becoming a burden to society takes off like a space shuttle. Unfortunately, you’re not even supposed to say that anymore because it might make single mothers feel bad — although this post this isn’t meant to be a knock on single mothers or single dads. I have a number of friends who are raising children solo and from what I’ve seen, as a general rule, they put significantly more effort into trying to raise their kids right than the average mom or dad in a nuclear family. After all, they’re trying to do the work of two parents.

However, this is where we get fouled up as a society. We put most of our focus on protecting the feelings of single moms and making it easier on them instead of discouraging people from having kids outside of marriage in the first place because it’s so horrible for children. If your concern is what’s best for kids and what’s best for society, Quayle had it right. If your concern is not hurting anyone’s feelings, the people who thought he was an idiot for ripping Murphy Brown were right.

That brings us to Suleman. When I look at her, I don’t see a freak so much as a woman who made the same mistakes that tens of millions of other Americans made, but she just made it on a larger scale. Nadya Suleman would have been almost unthinkable back in 1992, when Dan Quayle went after Murphy Brown. But, after a couple of decades of seeing single motherhood normalized as a lifestyle choice on TV and in society, she’s just a sad outlier of an extremely negative cultural trend.
