Oregon Killer’s Dad Blames Evil Guns, Social Media Blames Bad Parenting [Video]

First, the Dad says he’s not blaming guns. Then he proceeds to absolutely blame evil guns. From dear old dad: “I’m not trying to say that they’re to blame for what happened. But if Chris had not been able to get hold of 13 guns it wouldn’t have happened.” Really? You actually believe that? If it hadn’t been guns with this kid, it would have been knives or bombs. And there was nothing stopping him from getting them where all the other criminals get them on the street. He was severely unstable. And where was dad? He didn’t even live with them and from what I gather, mom was an uber helicopter-parent. The kid was 26… a grown man who was irresponsible and didn’t even know how to act as an adult. He was into everything evil he could find… radical Islam to communists with the IRA… the occult to mass murderers. Parent failure much? Social media gets this one right by a mile and the media should get their share of the blame as well.

Ian Mercer

From BizPac Review:

The father of the man who murdered a professor and eight Christian students at an Oregon community college on Thursday is blaming the guns rather than the gunman for his son’s shooting spree.

And although Ian Mercer didn’t come right out and say it, he probably believes the ammunition was a co-conspirator in the Umpqua Community College bloodbath.

“That’s what guns are. The killers. It’s as simple as that. It’s black and white,” Mercer said in a Saturday CNN interview.

Actually the truth is even more simple. Mercer’s son, Christopher Harper-Mercer slaughtered nine people before shooting himself to death on a community college campus in Oregon.

But Ian Mercer can’t accept that. And because the gun is the killer, he also casts blame on Congress for not enacting more stringent gun laws.

“They talk about gun laws, they talk about gun control. Every time something like this happens they talk about it and nothing is done,” he told CNN.

“Look all over the world, you don’t see these kind of mass shootings all over the world on a consistent basis like you do in the United States,” he added.

“I’m a great believer, you don’t buy guns. Don’t buy guns. Don’t buy guns,” he repeated.

Social media users couldn’t hold back their astonishment — or contempt. As one user asked, if guns can be blamed, “what about parenting of this kid?”

But maybe there’s something more at work here. What about the media?

This murdering freak’s father sounds like a talking head for Obama. Same points, same blathering, same insanity. Guns don’t kill people… evil, psychotics kill people. As far as I’m concerned, everyone should be armed and a lot less of this would happen. Obama and his Marxist cohorts would strip Americans of the right to protect themselves in their homes and out in the world. He’d be protected and so would the wealthy elite. The rest of us would be sitting ducks. That’s a formula for tyrannical fascism and the Founding Fathers knew it. That’s why we have the Second Amendment. Ian Mercer is blaming the government for not banning guns as if that would have stopped his insane son from doing evil. Get real. You do see mass shootings like this in other countries and far, far worse. That is a faux talking point and is just manipulative propaganda. We buy guns to protect ourselves and our loved ones from people like this man’s son. Enough said.
