Apple iPhone’s Siri Now Correcting Users Who Call ‘Caitlyn’ Jenner ‘Bruce’

If you use Apple iPhone’s Siri to get the answer to questions, be prepared to be scolded if you dare ask it a question about Bruce Jenner. That’s because now the Apple smart phone ap will correct you that her name is “Caitlyn,” not Bruce.

Apparently the phone ap will not cotton to that “Bruce” business.

Anyone looking to call Caitlyn Jenner by her former name, Bruce, will be immediately corrected by Siri. For example, asking “How tall is Bruce Jenner” will get you the straightforward response, “Caitlyn Jenner is 6 feet, 2 inches tall.”

The question “What gender is Bruce Jenner?” prompts “The answer is female.”

When asked about Jenner and the Olympics, Siri says she is still learning about sports awards. However, she seems to have transgender sensitivity down pat. Siri’s responses about correctly identifying gender and name work the same way for actress Laverne Cox.

I wonder what Siri says if someone asks if Bruce Jenner killed a woman in a traffic accident!?
