Deli Owner With ‘White History Month’ Sign in Window Now Re-Evaluating His Choice

Last week a deli owner in New Jersey posted a sign that said his store was celebrating “White History Month” but now after many have expressed outrage over his sign he is re-evaluating his choice.

Deli owner Jim Boggess posted the sign early last week and immediately grabbed news headlines over his stunt.

As soon as it went up a local racbaiter tried to have the police force Boggess to take the sign down. Bhakti Curtis immediately went to the cops. But they determined that there was nothing that they could do about it.

But as expected Boggess was beset with complaints far and wide. Now he has removed the sign.

Due to the controversy generated by the sign, NJ.com reports that Boggess has since taken the poster down, indicating that:

“I never meant it to be a black/white thing.”

Boggess also noted that the amount of unfortunate hate mail and negative phone calls received by Curtis influenced his decision to remove the sign.

Not sure what this guy expected, though.
