Party Time at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue

Here’s a little follow-up on the revelation that poverty is increasing at a record rate under Obama. Break out the $100/serving wagyu steak — it’s party time in the District of Criminals:

President Obama and first lady Michelle Obama have a packed social schedule this week, with two major galas and a reception for college athletes.

On Monday evening, the president will welcome collegiate star athletes to the White House for a reception at 5:45 p.m. …

On Wednesday the First Couple will don black tie for the annual Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute gala…

Hopefully the Obamas get some rest Thursday or Friday, because they will be back in formalwear on Saturday night for the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s (CBCF) annual Phoenix Awards dinner.

Speakers at the latter will include the communist klaxon Harry Belafonte, who hates America intensely and will tell you so at 110 decibels.

After the Hispanic dinner and the black dinner comes the dinner for normal people who just think of themselves as Americans and don’t expect any special privileges from Big Government at everyone else’s expense based on their ethnicity. Just kidding. But there will be plenty more gala dinners for months to come:

The Washington social season unofficially began Saturday night with the Washington National Opera’s season opening gala, and ends in early December with the Kennedy Center Honors.

As for all the people Obama et al.’s reckless spending and business-hostile policies are throwing out of work: let them eat debt.
