Seattle Mayor Planning to Force Banks to Give Sharia Compliant Homes Loans to Local Muslims

On the heels of yet another Muslim committing an act of terror inside the US, Seattle’s mayor Ed Murray is planning to force banks in his city to offer sharia compliant loans to its tiny number of Muslims who observe the rule of sharia.

Apparently there are roughly 30,000 Muslims living in Seattle but *maybe* as many as a few thousand live their lives in accordance with the barbaric Muslim sharia law. One of the tenets of that law is that Muslims are barred from taking out loans because they aren’t supposed to pay interest.

Now Mayor Murray is looking to force local banks to bend to sharia law.

On Monday, Murray’s housing committee released its recommendations for ways the city can increase housing in the city. Most ideas were what you’d expect, including increasing the city’s housing levy and implementing new rules and regulations to foster development of market-rate and lower-income housing.

One suggestion would help followers of Sharia law buy houses. That’s virtually impossible now because Sharia law prohibits payment of interest on loans. The 28-member committee recommended the city convene lenders and community leaders to explore options for increasing access to Sharia-compliant loan products.
