Terror Wins: French Magazine Attacked by Terrorists Vow ‘No More Muhammad Cartoons’

You’ll recall that earlier this year the offices of a satirical magazine in France was attacked and 12 of its employees killed all because they dared to publish cartoons that ridiculed the “prophet” Muhammad. Well now the new editor of the Charlie Hebdo magazine has finally bowed to the pressure of the Islamists and promised that there will be no more Muhammad cartoons.

The editor is, of course, trying to put a nonchlant face on the decision to cave in to the pressure saying that they’ve “done what they set out to do” and now they are finished. But, note that they aren’t “finished” attacking every OTHER religion!!.

“Charlie Hebdo” editor Laurent Sourisseau has told “Stern” magazine he will no longer draw cartoons of the Muslim prophet Muhammad. Souriseau’s statement comes six months after a deadly attack on the magazine’s offices.

During an interview with the Hamburg-based news magazine “Stern,” editor of the French weekly “Charlie Hebdo” said he would no longer draw comics of the Muslim prophet Muhammad.

“We have drawn Muhammad to defend the principle that one can draw whatever they want. It is a bit strange though: we are expected to exercise a freedom of expression that no one dares to,” Sourisseau told “Stern.”

The editor said that the magazine had done what it set out to do.

“We’ve done our job. We have defended the right to caricature,” Sourisseau said.

“We still believe that we have the right to criticize all religions,” the editor said, adding that he did not want to believe that the magazine “was possessed by Islam.”

This is the act of sudden cowards. On the other hand, once can at least understand why they are caving in and throwing away both their principles and their right to free expression. After all, talk of rights is a far differnt thing than acting on them in the face of life or death situations.

Whatever the case, the Islamic terrorists have won another victory.
