WARNING: Thieves May Be Able to Empty Your Bank Account With the Starbucks Ap

CNN Money has a report warning users of the Starbucks iPhone ap that hackers and thieves can use the ap to break into users’ bank accounts. If you use this ap, stop it immediately.

The Starbucks ap not only allows smart phone users to order their coffee electronically, the ap also links Starbucks gift cards and payments systems through their banks and payment services like PayPal. But this is how users are being hacked.

That’s how criminals are siphoning money away from victims. They break into a victim’s Starbucks account online, add a new gift card, transfer funds over — and repeat the process every time the original card reloads.

These thefts were first reported by consumer journalist Bob Sullivan.

CNNMoney interviewed several Starbucks customers who in recent months have had this happen to them.

Folks, stop using this Starbucks ap!!
