Man Refuses to Sell Propane to Trump supporters and now he’s in trouble with the law

A Maine propane dealer decided to not sell propane to any customer who voted for Donald Trump. Okay… first, how would he know? That’s his right to take that stand… it’s still a free country the last time I looked. But there is just one little ole snag… he’s not legally licensed to sell propane and hasn’t been for at least two years. Oopsie. Michael Turner, who decided to make a business ending political statement, operates Turner LP Gas Service. Or he did, anyway. He left a message for would-be customers on his company’s voicemail. “If you voted for Donald Trump for president, I will no longer be delivering your gas. Please find someone else.” That was left last Friday during a bitter cold snap. The message goes on to say that the cost of gas remains $110 a bottle, with payment due on delivery.
He’s not licensed to sell gas to anyone according to the Maine Fuel Board. Did I say two years? His license expired in 2012, that would be four years. He had two licenses, one for delivery and the other for dispensing, which expired in 2012 and 2014, respectively. The board became aware of the issue after the news of Turner’s message was reported by the Portland Press Herald late last week. Now, he faces fines from the state attorney general’s office for breaking the law and a code inspection. Hope he fails it.
From Top Right News:
The owner of a propane company in Maine told Trump supporters he would leave them in the cold as punishment for their choice of candidate.
Michael Turner, owner of Turner LP Gas in Skowhegan, Maine, recorded a voice mail greeting that leaves little question as to his feelings for those in his community who supported Trump.
“Thank you for calling Turner LP gas. If you voted for Donald Trump for president I will no longer be delivering your gas — please find someone else,” the message states. That message was left on a Friday, when the weather was bitterly cold.
And Turner creepily added “I have a list,” perhaps based on lawn signs before the election.
Hillary supporters cheered the tyrannical move of course, while conservatives seethed, but that is his right as a licensed propane distributor to refuse service.
There’s only one problem…he isn’t licensed to sell Propane at all!
And Turner got monstrous backlash for being such an idiot. His reviews on Google have been overwhelmingly negative. He got a few praising his biased moronic actions, but the vast majority think he’s an asshat. One reviewer wrote, “I would never let a person go cold based on their political affiliations. Thanks for affirming why voting Trump was the right choice.” The response took Turner by surprise. He was quick to whine that he never actually denied anyone gas. Really? Because if I had heard that voicemail, I would have considered it a denial based on political preference. Turner said his intent was just to point out Trump is “unfit to be president of anything.” But still, he was surprised at the negative reaction this has generated. “It proves my point that these people are violent and disgusting, just like their leader,” Turner said. “To them it seems like such a joke. I’m scared; I wouldn’t be surprised if I come home and my house is in flames.”
Then, this genius went on to claim he had “no idea” he hadn’t been licensed in years. So, he’s a liar as well as a hater. Great. Then he says he’s retiring anyway as of Dec. 31st. Well, good freaking riddance. He also said he has a “very small business,” estimating he only has 75 to 100 customers, all of whom are mostly at remote camps in northern Somerset County. “I’d like to thank everyone who has called to support me,” Turner said. “And to the haters, I’d like to say, ‘Merry Christmas.’” Well, Merry Christmas right back at ya! You just gave us all a great gift by retiring.
