A Lefty Professor’s Rant Recorded

With its Hugo Chavez-esque nationalization of the student loan industry, the Obama Regime laid the groundwork for universal publicly financed college education. This makes perfect sense as a component of the Cloward-Piven plan. It also makes sense for the sake of spreading ideology, considering what students are learning in school, to judge from a video taken in a Michigan State University classroom:

The video was secretly filmed Aug. 29th by a student on the first day of a creative writing class. The professor can be seen and heard railing against Republicans and disparaging former presidential candidate Mitt Romney’s wife.

The watchdog group Campus Reform, which first reported the incident, identified the professor as William Penn.

Penn made it clear that his students are expected to share his views:

“I’m a college professor,” he said. “If I find out you are a closet racist [i.e., not a liberal] I am coming after you.”

The nutty professor denounced Republicans as “a bunch of dead white people” and exhibited particular disdain for the classy Ann Romney.

“Ann Romney a first lady?” he asked. “And remember this if you are just going to be a greedy bastard all your life and just try to get things (unintelligible). In order to be rich like Mitt Romney and hide all your income offshore, in the Cayman Islands, you have to be — think about it — Mitt Romney. Anybody here want to be Mitt Romney? Him? I mean (sigh) married to her?”

Why would Romney need to hide money offshore? So that liberals don’t confiscate it. Yet it is Romney, who created the wealth the money represents, whom college students are required to regard as “greedy” if they want to get good grades in creative writing class.

MSU has announced an investigation, which we can expect to be about as effective as the farce Penn State launched to get to the bottom of global warming hoaxer Michael Mann’s use of phony data. Rabid moonbattery is such a systemic problem in higher education that the odds of it being meaningfully constrained from within academia are slim — unless free market principles are applied by getting government funding completely out of education. A truly free market would open the door to colleges specializing in education rather than left-wing indoctrination.
