American Flag Ban Vetoed by UC Irvine Campus Leaders

When you’re in an American college and there are “campus leaders” who want to ban the flag, it’s time for new campus leaders and for people to ask some hard questions about what your school is teaching these kids to make them go so wrong.

A University of California Irvine student executive cabinet on Saturday vetoed a resolution banning the American flag from the lobby of the student government offices, KNBC-TV reported, noting a post on the school’s website.

The post called the resolution enacted by undergraduate members of the legislative council earlier this week “misguided legislation”; in addition the post said it wasn’t endorsed by campus leadership or the University of California, KNBC reported.

…While the ASUCI Legislative Council’s resolution — which passed six to four on Tuesday, with two abstentions — called for the removal of all flags, there was wording about the American flag, noting that it “has been flown in instances of colonialism and imperialism.”

The resolution further said the U.S. flag can convey “American exceptionalism and superiority” and that “freedom of speech, in a place that aims to be as inclusive as possible can be interpreted as hate speech.”

These idiots calling for a ban on the flag are supposed to be “leaders?” Go lead in Cuba or with ISIS, you scumbags.
